DESCRIPTION:Higher Ground Communications Director Jordan Barrera to Present at the December Cypress Chamber Networking Breakfast\n\n\n\nThe Cypress Chamber of Commerce will host Higher Ground Communications Director Jordan\n\nBarrera at our December Networking Breakfast. This event will be held Tuesday\, December 09th\n\nat the Residence Inn by Marriott at 4931 Katella Avenue\, Cypress/Los Alamitos starting at 7:30\n\na.m. The Chamber believes that the holiday season reminds us of the power of hope\,\n\ngenerosity\, and community\, so we try to adopt a SoCal-based non-profit. Jordan will share her\n\ninspiring presentation that features stories of resilience and transformation through the work\n\nof Higher Ground Youth & Family Services.\n\n\n\nChamber Networking Breakfast attendees can help out by bringing any shelf-stable food that\n\nwill then go into the food boxes Higher Ground will provide families to help sustain them over\n\nthe holiday break. Some suggested items to bring include: pasta sauce\, peanut butter\, dry\n\npasta\, oatmeal\, granola\, pancake mix\, green beans\, canned fruit\, tuna\, apple sauce\, black beans\n\nand other items. Some Orange County families struggle over the winter break to feed their\n\nchildren during what should be a very happy time.\n\n\n\nCome spend the morning at a networking event with other business professionals and discover how the Higher Ground organization is helping youth and families overcome poverty\, trauma\, and abuse. You'll also learn how you can make a lasting impact through volunteering\, partnership\, and community involvement. Jordan hopes our guests will leave feeling encouraged\, inspired\, and reminded that each of us has the power to make a difference.\n\n\n\nJordan Barrera serves as the Director of Communications & Development at Higher Ground\n\nYouth & Family Services\, where she leads marketing\, community partnerships\, fundraising\, and\n\nstrategic initiatives that expand the organization's impact across Orange County. Her journey\n\nwith Higher Ground began as a parent\, when her son participated in some of the organization's\n\nprograms. Experiencing that impact firsthand inspired her to become part of the entire Higher\n\nGround mission. Today\, she is proud to be part of the dedicated team at Higher Ground that\n\nhelps countless individuals each year overcome challenges\, build brighter futures\, and achieve\n\ntheir full potential.\n\n\n\nEach Chamber networking breakfast guest will also have an opportunity to stand to introduce\n\nthemselves and share a little about their business before the program begins.\n\nReservations are highly recommended to secure your spot for the monthly breakfasts and can\n\nbe made online. Cost of the breakfast is $25.00.
