The Cypress Chamber of Commerce will welcome California Senator Tony Strickland as our guest speaker at our October Networking Breakfast. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, at the Residence Inn by Marriott at 4931 Katella Avenue, Cypress/Los Alamitos, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Senator Strickland will review key legislation passed or considered during the past legislative session, with a special focus on bills that may impact businesses. He will also discuss his legislative goals and anticipated challenges for the coming year.
Throughout his three decades of public service, Tony has served in both houses of the California Legislature, as well as Mayor and City Councilmember of Huntington Beach. In 2025, he was elected to California Senate District 36, representing parts of Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Serving as Vice-Chair of the Health and Environmental Quality Committees, Senator Strickland has continued advocating for fiscal responsibility, spending reform, and government accountability. He has earned a lifetime “A” rating from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and remains outspoken on issues including housing mandates, crime, homelessness, and affordability.
A proud Whittier College graduate and recipient of the Nixon Scholar Award, Tony Strickland brings extensive legislative and local government experience to this timely discussion.
Each Chamber breakfast attendee will also have the opportunity to introduce themselves and share about their business before the program begins.
Reservations are highly recommended and may be made online. Breakfast admission is $25.00. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a door prize to help promote their business or service.
The program will include live networking, self-introductions, a breakfast buffet, and the featured presentation. Chamber networking breakfasts are open to the public and held on the second Tuesday of every month. Space is limited, and pre-registration is encouraged.
